It was mid-March and Mason was walking home from school. It was a normal day nothing was different that day. Once Mason got home, he went to his room and started on his homework. While doing his homework, Mason’s mom walked into his room and told him that they needed to talk. Mason was confused because he had no idea what they needed to talk about. Mason for years has been the only child. He would see his friends with their own siblings and Mason always wanted to have a brother. When Mason found out that he was going to have a brother he couldn’t believe it. He of course was really excited. Mason couldn’t wait for his brother to be born until the day finally came. Mason remembers perfectly what he did that day. He woke up and got ready to head to the hospital, but he first stopped for breakfast. After breakfast, he went to the hospital to go check on his newborn brother. When Mason first saw his brother he immediately felt happy. For the first couple of years Mason and his brother weren’t the closest of siblings. They would fight just like every pair of siblings do and they didn’t like to do similar things. Until one day Mason decided to change that and decided that he wanted to become closer with his brother so Mason planned a trip for both of them.

Mason asked his brother “hey do you want to go on a trip, it’s a very nice day outside we should go somewhere”. His brother responded by saying ” I mean might as well, there is nothing to do”. So Mason and his brother packed up their stuff to get ready for the trip. Mason brought all the essentials with him such as his phone, keys, money, and food and water. They both got in the car and started to make their way to the site. It was about a 2-hour drive so they had a long way to go. On their way there they weren’t as talkative, just the music was playing. They finally got there and they started to unpack and get ready.

Mason’s brother asked him ” What are we doing here?” Mason responds ” We are going to camp here overnight so we can get closer.” Mason’s brother had no other choice but to stay there. So they started to make their tent. They built their tent in a matter of minutes. After they finished they decided to go explore around the area. On their way around the area, they noticed something interesting. Mason said, ” look what I found, and read what it says.” They had found a letter on the floor. The letter contained a message and a trail for them to follow. They both looked at each other and they decided to follow the trail. They started to guess what could be at the end of the trial. Mason said, “maybe it leads us to some gold”. Mason’s brother, on the other hand, wasn’t as invested. He said, ” I don’t think there is anything, I think that they are just playing with us and wasting our time”. On their way, it started to rain heavily with lightning and thunderstorm. They took cover under a tree. They were soaked completely. After a couple of minutes, the rain stopped . They looked at the map and they were close to the destination so they kept walking. After a couple of minutes, Mason said to his brother” Look over, what is that?” His brother replied ” I dont know but we should go check it out”. They went to check it out and they couldnt believe what they had found. After checking what was there, they immediatly looked at each other and screamed “We are rich”. They had found a box of gold and cash. They immedialty took the box back. They got in the car and went back home. On their way home they were both happy and couldn’t believe what they had found. They both were also glad that they went on that trip as it made them more connected to each other.
