I enjoyed the very aggressive, blunt tone in this writing. You will not find many pieces of writing with this kind of aggressive tone. She put plenty of emotion into her writing, but I would not be surprised if there was more. I could imagine her being a debater in I found it surprising when she says that people are shocked that her Mexican grandfather is a publicist. Considering that this writing was published is December 2020 what kind of country does not have publicist? Gurba clearly disliked Cummins and voiced it. I feel like her rage towards the words āthese peopleā is a bit over the top. I would like to know why she started off so angry? I would also ask if she has written more with this aggressive and blunt style.

I agree that Gurba was very blunt about Cummins not being about to depict the true life of a Mexican immigrant. I also enjoyed this reading as well.
I agree with you that she put plenty of emotions in her writing such as anger and aggressiveness because as she uses negative language in her writing, not every writer used it in their writing which is very common. and that the reason why I liked her work that much.
I totally agree on the part with her aggressive and blunt approach to her message. Though it’s not uncommon to speak like that; seeing it in writing on an online article hits different.
I agree with her rage being over the top over a review but this was a critique gone rogue. The rage that was flowing throughout this writing and it just felt like it would never end.
”These people’ to me this is vulgar to say about people because they are humans, and I don’t; there is a difference. I think Gurba started angrily to show that she is furious about how Mexicans and Latins are being viewed in America. Cummins wrote in American Dirt about Mexicans are Latins and getting fame from it is disappointing because she wrote about people’s culture, traditions and misrepresented them. Gurba’s boldness is good because people think immigrant people don’t have a voice or are not confident.
^ i don’t think we have differences m we are the same.
