Amani: (happily) You already know I’m always down to eat!
Uran: Not gonna lie (brief pause) I could eat too
Dennis: What’s the word? What we getting to eat?
Uran: (excited tone, claps hands quickly) We could get paninis from this fire ass place I know
Amani: Nah I’m not feeling that right now
Dennis: Island Burger?
Amani: Oouuu I never tried it, I heard its good though
Uran: It’s actually really good. Ya wanna order it to the house since it’s brick out?
Amani: Yeah it’s toooooo cold to be walking anywhere
Dennis: Worddddd! Let’s hurry and order, I’m mad hungry

Lindsey: Why are spacers for braces so annoying? It’s bothering me!
(places ice pack on her jaw)
Amani: They hurt bro, hurttttt! You’re getting braces soon right?
Lindsey: Yup, for my bottom teeth, then bonding for the top.
Amani: Sheesh! Just don’t eat the spacers like I did (smiling and laughing)
Lindsey: (while laughing) oooofff I’m about to have pizza now, hopefully they don’t come out.
Amani: As long as you don’t eat anything sticky like taffy or a marshmallow like I did, (shrugs shoulders) you should be good.
Lindsey: Does the pain get worse?
Amani: Yessss! It took me 2 hours to eat 4 mozzarella sticks because it hurt that much!
Lindsey: I need this to be over with!
I like how the use of dialogue can truly express to you who these characters are and how they act based on their personality.
