Writing poetry after a number years wasn’t all that bad. I remember having to do so many different styles of poetry in high school, and never having to use all the experience again up until now. I felt a bit rusty, but it was fine. It was not as troubling as writing short stories as those were a nightmare and half. What made this more difficult was trying to mimic a writers style. Using a similar tone or writing style was difficult as I found myself trying to use words I would usually use. Incorporating my style would defeat the purpose of the assignment, but I was let off the hook when I was able to do my best while completing the task from each poem.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
