Coming into this class I knew there would be a lot of writing going on, and surprisingly I’ve enjoyed all of it. Memoir writing specifically has been going good. I’ve discovered that I can write about almost anything considering that my first memoir was about sweatpants, something that I never would’ve thought to write about before. Writing about simple items like this in great detail allows me to create a habit of necessary detailing in all kinds of writing. This also allows me to be a better reader as well by looking for the details that make the plot of the story. All the topics we’ve been assigned have been interesting, spaced out well with enough time to revise as well as post and the topics call for us to think more.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
