The first Chapter of “Truth and Beauty” was pretty interesting. As the writer did emphasize about Lucy’s prior hardships and the development of her relationship with Anne from casual college students who talked about serial experiences to adults that faced the real world. Despite her fight against cancer and her disfigurement from cancer it didn’t stop her from being ambitious to become a remarkable fiction writer and settling with someone she loves. Which shows that great deal of passion through her writing. The Author keeps the reader’s invested on Lucy and curious about her sexual and love life. The Author attempts to show that no matter what state you’re in or what category people put you, at the end of the day it’s all about what you believe your value is and how much you really want to reach your goals.
