Blink

One, Two, Blink,

I graduate middle school in 2012,

Three, Four, Blink,

I graduate high school in 2016.

One, Two, Blink,

I begin my teenage years in 2011,

Three, Four, Blink,

I’m currently 23 years old,

Getting older, time speeds up,

Daily surroundings feel old and dull,

One more blink, life will get faster,

Where did the lost time go?

Daylight/Midnight

Wake up, check my phone, it’s daylight,

Have some coffee, put on the TV, that’s alright,

Watching videos, lots of entertainment in sight,

I look out my window, it’s already midnight.

I scavenge for food, make something quick, midnight,

I play some games, time passes fast, stories are such delight,

My cats demand for food, none of them ever bite,

I rest for the night, then it’s already daylight,

The cycle starts again, although it does excite,

The days become the same, while I don’t put up a fight,

The bed feels warm, welcoming, no sign of fright,

Back to the cycle of day and night.
