A friendship that has been significant to me is with my best friend Jarolyn. I meet Jarolyn during my first year in high school. Our friendships begin unexpectedly we had so much in common tastes, fanaticisms, beliefs and other things that allow us to carry out pleasant conversations. Our personality are a little different since she is more friendly and I’m more reserved, she likes going out a lot and I preferred to stay home. When we entered high school, we had both arrived from our home country, we felt a little lost and disoriented, I think that’s why we got closer. We always stayed together after class to keep up with the classes and that’s how we started to be inseparable. When we graduated from high school she moved to Boston, but this did not prevented us to frequent each other, we text every day and sometimes we visit each other. Not seeing her in a long time it seems that weeks or months have not passed. What I enjoy about our friendship is that we can speak to each other with total sincerity without having to measure the words while always being ourself. She’s a good friend because she knows about my past, the problems I have suffered, and everything I had to live to get where I am.
