A friendship that is significant to me is my bond with my cousin Itzel. Itzel is one of my cousins that are around my age. Growing up I would almost never go to family parties or different family events. With that being said, Itzel and I and two of our other cousins would usually hangout whenever we got the chance. The four of us would always hangout at Emely’s house which is the youngest of us. We would always be at her house after school or when we wouldn’t have anything planned. Hanging out at Emely’s house was way better than any of our houses because her parents were less strict, especially compared to my house. Aside from the four of hanging out as a group, the cousin that I would hang out with the most was Emely. Although we would hang out as a group, I never thought Itzel was someone that I was going to be closer with. I say this because we never really hung out together outside of our group

Most recently because we were in quarantine due to COVID-19 and because at the time my cousin was living just a few steps from me, Itzel would always come over. Her and my other cousin Angel would come over to my house whenever they were “Bored”. During this quarantine while spending more time with Itzel our relationship grew. We talked about personal issues, family drama, boys, and many other things. We went to different places together such as going to the city or park to take pictures(which is one of Itzel’s many hobbies), and going to beaches (when they started to open back up), we couldn’t go to many places because of quarantine but we made the most out of it. I like spending time with Itzel because I never feel like I am being judged or criticized. She is open minded, adventurous, confident, brave, and honest.

This friendship is significant to me because with a few of my past friendships I always had an issue with them over small or petty things. With Itzel I know that although we might get into disagreements, she wouldn’t get mad over little things that aren’t important.
