According to the Kothari reading, we have been able to see this clearly in the definition of John Swales about discourse community, where he explains that each group fights for the same purpose or beliefs. Kothari’s mother wanted to impose her belief according to what we eat and that has led me to think that I am a carnivore. I identify myself in this group of people and I know that many other people are against it because you kill animals they are defenseless. Our body requires nutritious foods full of proteins and minerals. Much of our greatest source comes from meat. One of the consequences of this discourse community is that meats go through processes where chemicals are implemented to preserve meats for much longer and obviously all this goes to our body. Also another disadvantage of this group is when preparing the meats they have to be 100 percent well cooked so that our body can process it normally. I would say that a vegetarian does not have to go through long processes to prepare their food since many of them come from the earth. In my point of view a disadvantage of being a vegetarian is that you are also exposed to battery in the vegetables since to pay the plants were used chemicals. All these chemicals are due to the world population since more food is needed day by day for each inhabitant on earth. In my opinion, vegetarians do not eat meat because they think of an adorable dog or cat, but a carnivore thinks of collecting more proteins and minerals at the time of their meal.

    Hi Estarlin,
I totally agree with you 100% and see why people have bad views on being a carnivore. But typically I believe our body needs meats to function, and not just that but we need both veggies and meats to be healthy and strong. But everyone has their own preferance. But don’t get me wrong , i respect everyones own opinion. However, I know some people like to be mean about eating meat, and try to make us feel guilty but it’s our lives that they can’t control.

I fully agree with what you’ve said that we humans need to survive on meat. I know that meat protein provides all essential amino acids that regulate many of our functions, including physical and mental performance.
