Wollstonecraft

I think Wollstonecraft’s DC is women that fight and believe in equality of the genders. They believe women should be held to a higher standard than either highly promiscuous or seen and not heard. Her DC’s main goal is to change how women are viewed in society and the way they contribute to that society. Her intended audience is men, more so men in power, those with the ability to create or lobby for laws that allow women to be on the same footing as men. One strategy she uses is by comparing what happens when men fight for their rights. She explains that men fight for their own futures and fight to protect those futures so keeping women from doing the same is illogical.

Young

Young’s DC consists of people who want to normalize disability rather than praising every small achievement they make. This DC is full of people mainly that are disabled but also people without disabilities. Much like Wollstonecraft, Young wants to change the view that society has about people with disabilities and to end how objectified many people see them. To stop using disabled people to lift others up.
