The use of images in this and any writing piece helps get the attention of more readers. I personally prefer multimodal pieces because they provide a better explanation of what’s being said. While reading this particular article, I felt like I could appreciate more the message by looking at the photographs.
She uses the images to help us see and feel what she is writing about. I found it very interesting how this black family lived and how happy the looked just living life. The multimodal part of this was very intriguing. I liked how after explaining the journey she went through then showing the photos she saw was very touching.
Using images and writing at the same time really catches reader’s attention. I like using images and my own perspective because I feel like it helps me express easily and clearly.
Like others have said, using photographs catches your attention. It helps the reader to understand the various elements in the story, and creates a full comprehensive experience by using both words and images.
Images has a way of creating a visualization of the message to the audience. It actually enable the readers and audience to better comprehend the intent of the writer or author.
