My subject is gun laws/violence and I wanted to go with a PSA because my target audience is pre teens to teens. The overall piece is short as it is a script not an essay or paragraph. Imagery is used through out the whole PSA as most of them are videos, commercials, and posters. Multiple people are usually talking in these PSA either from a third person point of view or main character’s first person perspective. The tone and purpose of the PSA are usually dark or made in a way to show the topic at hand in a way that gets a message across. My genre is usually found as ads on tv or YouTube or as posters on the wall.

Class Meetings & Times: Mondays & Wednesdays, 4-5:40 PM, in Namm 521
Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12 – 1 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
