Buy a round trip ticket for Versailles-Rive gauche,
it will be the same for the subway and the RER.
Don’t love it, you’ll need it to exit the train as well as to enter the RER!
Take the subway from Republique, line 8 (pink) direction Balard, get off at Invalides
