On April 14 we released version 1.7.92 of the OpenLab. It included two new features: changes to the sign-up process to accommodate the student email migration, and redesign of navigation icons on mobile. It also included a new plugin, minor theme and plugin updates, and some bug fixes.
Student email change
In order to keep the OpenLab open to members of the City Tech community, we use email to validate accounts. Since the new student email migration comes with a change in email format, we’ve updated the sign up process to account for this.
Existing student OpenLab accounts are not affected. Please continue to sign in with your existing accounts and notifications will be automatically forwarded to your new email.
Icon redesign
We redesigned some of the icons that appear on mobile to access the search in directories (People, Courses, etc), and navigation menus in Help and on Course, Project, Club, and Portfolio Profiles.
New plugin
Filebird Document Library allows you to create a gallery or library containing files like PDFs or Word docs on your site.Â
Bug fixes
We fixed a few bugs, including one affecting people using Safari on a desktop, which prevented the selection of items in the My OpenLab and main OpenLab dropdown menus.
