The Spotlight is on the The tenth annual City Tech Science Fiction Symposium, which will take place at City Tech on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and features work from science fiction writers, scholars, and students..

Symposium organizers invite everyone to the City Tech Academic Building at 285 Jay Street in downtown Brooklyn, New York in Room A-105 to join for the day-long event, or stop by as schedules permit, whether for a panel or for the keynote address, “Is Contemporary Science Fiction Strange Enough?” by Carlos Hernandez.

Pre-registration is not required. The in-person event is free and open to everyone. Participants and attendees who are not affiliated with the college will need to sign-in at the security desk before entering. Room A-105 is down the hallway to the right of the turnstiles on the right side (street-facing side of the building).

While you’re checking out the Science Fiction at City Tech website for full details about the symposium, also check out more about the City Tech Science Fiction Collection, science fiction courses, past symposia, and other resources.
