Welcome to my e-Portfolio!

My journey into dental hygiene began with a significant life transition. Back in Russia, I enjoyed a successful career as a Head of Customer Service, a role I loved because it allowed me to connect with people. Eleven years ago, I moved to New York and had to start my professional life over from the beginning. I worked in various roles to improve my English, but I always knew that I wanted to return to school to earn a degree in the U.S. I have always been interested in healthcare, and seeing so many people successfully begin new careers here after the age of 30 gave me the confidence to follow that same path.

My passion for this profession is deeply personal. I struggled with my own oral health for a long time, and it was only after coming to the U.S. that I learned about the crucial role dental hygienists play in preventing oral disease. I am grateful that I chose this path, as I have learned so much about the importance of oral hygiene and its direct link to systemic health. While I wish I had possessed this knowledge sooner, I am now dedicated to sharing it with others. My goal is to use my communication skills and clinical training to empower my patients, helping them keep their mouths healthy and improve their overall quality of life.
