When having the perspective grid tool activated, there are a two ways to get rid of it. The first one is using the shortcut shift + command (ctrl) + I and the other one going to view, perspective grid and clicking hide. However, the most effective one is using the shortcut since it allows us to toggle on and off the grid easily when we want to see how our artwork is coming out.

Whenever the perspective grid is active on the art board, the fastest way to get rid of it would be using the keys “Shift + Command + I” on Mac, or for Windows “Shift + Ctrl + I”. This is the most efficient method to getting rid of the grid because it only relies on keystrokes. The another way would be a more manual way of moving the mouse to View and then going down to Perspective Grid and then turning it off. The keystroke method is more work efficient because sometimes you need to navigate the options in View and find where it says Perspective Grid and that’s just wasting time. When you use the shortcut, it also doesn’t affect what was on the grid before you disable it. The Grid is like a template for placing and angling the shapes correctly.

In Adobe Illustrator, once you have activated the Perspective Grid Tool, the grid remains visible on your artboard until you choose to hide it. To get rid of it, you can either use the keyboard shortcut Shift + Ctrl + I on Windows or Shift + Command + I on Mac, which toggles the perspective grid on and off, or you can go to the menu and select View → Perspective Grid → Hide Grid. Hiding the grid removes it from view, but any objects you have created or placed on the artboard will remain unaffected.

When the Perspective Grid Tool is activated in Illustrator, you can get rid of it by hiding the grid instead of deleting the whole thing. The most common method is to go to the View menu, choose Perspective Grid, and then click Hide Grid. This instantly removes the grid from your artboard while keeping your artwork unchanged. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + I on Windows or Command + Shift + I on a Mac, which quickly toggles the Perspective Grid on and off. This shortcut is really useful when you need to switch between working with perspectives and adding elements more efficiently. Simply switching to another tool, such as the Selection Tool, will not remove the grid. The grid will remain visible until it is hidden. Hiding the Perspective Grid helps reduce distractions and keeps your workspace clear, while allowing you to turn it back on anytime you need to continue the perspective-based design.

When working in Adobe Illustrator, the Perspective Grid Tool can sometimes get in the way once you’re done placing objects or want to see your design more clearly. To get rid of the Perspective Grid, the easiest and fastest way is by using the keyboard shortcut Shift + Command + I on a Mac or Shift + Ctrl + I on Windows. This shortcut simply turns the grid on and off, which is helpful when you don’t want to permanently remove anything but just hide the grid from view.

Another way to hide the Perspective Grid is by going to the top menu and clicking View → Perspective Grid → Hide Grid. This method is useful if you forget the shortcut or prefer using menus instead. When you hide the grid, it doesn’t affect any of the artwork you’ve already created using perspective. All objects stay exactly where they are; the grid just disappears from the screen.

Knowing how to turn off the Perspective Grid is important because it helps you focus on the final look of your design without distractions and makes it easier to review your work before exporting or submitting it.

Whenever you have the Perspective Grid tool activated, you’ll find that you can simply press the escape button at anytime or with the tool selected in order for the page to go back to normal. you can also go to window > Perspective Grid and toggle it off and on from there as well. Usually just pressing escape on the keyboard and then shift + p to bring it back it the easiest way to toggle however.
