When I create my split grid poster in Illustrator, Iāll start by deciding how I want to divide the layout since the split will set the balance of the design. Iāll have to think about how the grid can demonstrate contrast and guide the viewerās eye throughout the poster. Iāll keep spacing and alignment consistent so the overall look feels intentional. Iāll probably also experiment with bold color combinations on each side to make the design more dynamic. For text, Iāll choose fonts that match the style and mood Iām going for while keeping them easy to read. I might play with symmetry for a more structured feel or go asymmetrical for something more energetic. While designing, Iāll use Illustratorās guides and alignment tools to make sure everything stays polished while still feeling expressive.

I would also look carefully at the whole design and see how its forming with each other to make sure there aren’t any inconsistent patterns or design that would make it look out of place. Thinking about contrasts, size, color scheme and spacing are important to make the pattern a pattern you could see that would repeat without any issues. In the end I would want the design to look like a pattern that is repeating but also fits with the spacing and box to keep that consistent feel.
