Creating Patterns

Today, we will discuss creating an individual repeating pattern.

  • Techniques for using the technique to organize your patterns.

Critique

Each week we will review homework assignments from the previous class. Students will participate in reviewing material and offering suggestions for improvement for their cohort. This week students display their Cupcake designs and display the Live Mirror effect.

Lab 12 – Creating the Pattern

Lab assignments are done during class time. Follow the directions from the video to set up your pattern for repeat.

Create four icons to be placed on a 3 x 3 rectangle. Directions are also in the Resource section below.

Discussion:

Each week you will need to respond to two questions posted. This is a requirement for the participation part of your grade.

Homework Due Next Class: 

All work should be submitted by 5:00 am the Wednesday before class.

Each file should be saved according to the following naming convention. i.e., 3711_12_LastName_HW.ai (Illustrator).

  • Create a Peel Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator.
