For my first quote, I wanted the card to look kind of like a note being passed in a class. I started with the main part of the quote in a handwritten-looking font at the top of the page. Then I made squares next to the other words, for the “hello” part of the quote I used the same font as I did for the first part of it and created a check mark in the box next to it.
In my second concept, I used the polygon tool in Indesign to create multiple triangles. I used primary colors to keep it simple, this quote with very well known and I wanted to keep the color palette feeling classic and familiar. I then used two different styles of fonts for the quote, first I used a font that looked like handwritten cursive than a bolder handwritten looking font.  I thought it would be a little bit more interesting instead of keeping one font for all of the quote since the design was already very simple.

For my last quote, in my original design, I wanted to have an analog-style phone with a speech bubble coming from it. But I found this image of a woman holding that syle of phone and thought it would be perfect. I started by putting this image into Indesign, then used the ellipse tool to make a thought/ speech bubble. I think that it’s my favorite design of the three because it does look like a real postcard and like something I could see sold at a store.
