The first thing I noticed that was similar in the Dr. No credits and the apple opening credits was their use of color on a black background. They both incorporate a lot of color on top of black backgrounds that really help make the visuals pop, and the apple credits feel very inspired by the 60s. In the Dr. No credits there is a part where they have female silhouette figures dancing, the silhouettes are all warm colors like red, pink, and purple. Then the silhouettes switch to a cool color scheme with green, cyan, and blue. The apple credits also have a lot of different geometric and organic shapes that transform into different shapes and figures. While the Dr. No credits mainly use geometric shapes like circles and squares, you can tell in the apple credits that they’re really showcasing how far we have come with graphics and technology. The music in both of the credit sequences are also very similar, both have an upbeat 60s feel again.
