Healthy Food & Recipes

Healthy is defined as being fit in body and mind. In healthy food, it means to be beneficial in assisting the human body to be in top shape for the body and mind. In the food pyramid, there are foods and drinks that are healthy while others are not. Eating healthy foods not only assist the human body, but can help replenish the energy needed to get through the day.

For example, water is more healthy than soda because water contains no calories or unhealthy ingredients while soda contains carbonated water, sugar and flavor substance to give the drink a taste. According to the food pyramid, soda is under the section of unhealthy foods because it contains a certain amount of sugar in the drink.

So instead of eating and drinking unhealthy foods, people can eat fruit, vegetables and/or meat to replace the unhealthy foods in the human body system. Eating fruits and/or vegetable helps the human body, but over eating healthy foods won’t easily make the person healthy due to the amount of calories intake from how much we eat. So eating healthy food at a certain portion can help give the necessary energy for the human body.
