One of Mozarts finest music. it was clear to me that something must have heppened when i found out that cosi fan tutte was not played in Mozarts life-time, when the emperor Joseph the second died.It is now performed all over the world.

It’s about a bet between two soldiers that their sweetheart will be unfaithful while they are away. Returning disguised as Albanians they were able to convince the others sweetheart to marry them, finally rebuking both women for being unfaithful. This happens today with our soldier’s at war and returning to find out that their wives are unfaithful. I say this from experience, the life a a soldier is not always peachy.

The Serenade No. 11 is a piece we’ll be hearing as a part of our group project. It was written in 1781 by Mozart Wolfgang, and first preformed in Vienna on October 15 of the same year. As I heard this sample, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anOHvauXQXU, I expect to see clarinets, horns, and bassoons when it’s played live. Mozart wrote this piece hoping to impress Joseph von Strack who was a personal cellist to the emperor, and desired that he would pass a favorable note about his work. His dedication to being great at what he does made him even add a new instrument to the piece when he learned about the wind octet that was built for the emperor. I’m looking forward to hear this played live, as that will satisfy further curiosity that I have about this work.

I was listening to “STRAUSS Suite in B-flat Major, Op. 4” to me it sounded at first slow seductive. Later it reached various climax that would later go back to a relaxing ambiance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AayLo-lciqs
I researched also on what type of person Richard Strauss, he had a connection of music through his father who was a horn player for an orchestra. http://www.britannica.com/biography/Richard-Strauss This relates to me int the way that for me too my father influence me in classical European music at a very young age, he would many different types pieces that got stuck with me until now that if I hear would send shivers down my spine a remind me of those days.

The conductor for the this orchestra will be Patricia Rogers who I did some research on. She is a person who has had some time in the classical music business and has gained much experience from orchestra she’s been part of.http://www.juilliard.edu/faculty/patricia-rogers
