This video shows a charging dock which they call a table top charging pad. The technology involves setting up a magnetic field that is actually able to transmit energy between two poles from a transmitting device to a receiving device. Similar to what I have been trying to do for my project but my idea will have more range that this charging dock and will be able to support more than just two devices at once.

This second link also shows the similar technology but it has a limited range and you can only charge one phone at a time. They have two kinds of working wireless chargers at this time a charging pad and a charging stand.
