My solid experience in customer service and exceptional work ethic allow me to play a substantial role in any working environment.
My experience in ophthalmic surgery has provided me with the necessary skills of time management, patient satisfaction and team coordination. My roles at the ambulatory surgery center ranged from perioperative nursing to Fire Safety Officer. I had the privilege of providing exceptional care to a geriatric and adult population with multiple cultural backgrounds. I worked with nursing staff, surgeons and anesthesiologists in providing proficient and safe care to all patients throughout their perioperative stay. This includes, but not limited to, assessment of patient health history, preparation and maintenance of eye for surgical procedures, monitoring and management of adverse surgical outcomes and providing postoperative instructions concerning management of eye at a home setting. I also had the vital role of the center’s sole Fire Safety Officer. This allowed me to coordinate with the Clinical Director in organizing and carrying out practice fire drills. With this title I ensured appropriate fire safety measures were taken during emergency situations.
My outstanding communication skills and ability to form meaningful rapport with patients and family has allowed me to provide high quality patient centered care in the community setting. As a visiting nurse I have had the privilege of providing vigilant patient care to the geriatric population. My responsibilities as a visiting nurse ranged from initiation and completion of clinical assessments to the management and care of diabetic, venous and pressure ulcers. Other services I have provided include the preparation and administration of insulin injections and pre pouring of medications. Also, by developing strong relationships with patients and their families, I have been able to provide long lasting education and teaching in regards to disease processes, nutrition and diet management.
My passion for the field of nursing combined with my outstanding ability to work in fastpaced and ever changing environment will allow me to provide the best and most efficient patient care.
