My first project was to design a banner for the company website. They gave me the freedom to be creative from the get go and it gave me a lot of confidence going in, especially since it’s not something I have personally done many times. Knowing that banner designs are a little difficult because you only have so much space it took a lot of planing and sketching which I did on Procreate. After in which I also used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to finalize and clean up the drafts I made on Procreate. I wanted to keep some aspects from the previous banner design apparent in my design to give it some familiarity and add some simple vector images to help guide the viewer. And after my first draft I sent to my supervisor the only feedback I got was to make it brighter and truthfully I can say I was happy with my first piece of work working at my internship.
