It truly an unfortunate outcome to everything considering it was a piece that I remember seeing everywhere growing up taking the bus to school every day back and forth. Not to mention that it actually had impact on society at the time as it held value and purpose in a lot of people’s eyes, it wall all naught because Fairey committed a pretty dire mistake in my opinion as a designer. Especially after feigning ignorance and destroying actual documents to cover it up is an actual guideline in what we should not do as designers. But also a lesson on why ethics are so important in our field and something we should be cognizant of being designers.
