Last Christmas, I challenged myself to make a Santa inspired dress with gloves within 24 hours. I bought the materials earlier in the day and started drafting and sewing the dress the same night. I bought exactly one yard of red stretch velvet fabric, therefore mistakes were not allowed. That night I cut out parts for the top and skirt of the dress It was late by the time I finished sewing the top and skirt together, so I went to bed. The next day I went out early in the day to the fabric store not too from where I live to pick up some white trimmings for the neckline and the bottom of the skirt. It almost took me the whole day to attach the trimming on every part of the dress that needed it. I had a bit of leftover fabric and trimming so I decided to make a matching pair of gloves. I was amazed at what I was about to do with a yard of fabric and 24 hours.
