Prof. Nicolaou and Classmates,

My second choice is from the New York Times Blog page and the blog is about current events around the country and around the world. It is a very informative blog that addresses current issues about our society nowadays.

This blog looks clean, well thought out and organized in a way that is very easy to follow. The typography is design to be pleasant for reading purposes. The images are High Definition. Within this blog, small articles can be found. Each article has images that contribute to the overall message of the article. If you click on an article’s picture, it would take you where the complete article can be found and can be read. At the end of each article, people can comment or share this particular article if they are interested in it within their social media or other sources.

The blog itself is well organized. It also includes a section where the “contributes” are located. If you click on one of them, it would take you to a page where you can find that person’s additional articles and past work. I personally like this blog because is very informative and there are multiple types of articles you have access to that are open source. Additionally, it addresses topics I am interested in and it’s design is very appealing and simple.

Prof. Nicolaou and Classmates,

The New York Public Library website contains a series of small blogs located on the main page that contains articles with multiple topics. The articles are not only in English, but also in Spanish. On the list of articles, you can find a topic that you are interested in easily. Once you have selected an article, you can click on the small introduction, it would take you to an informative blog where text and images of the topic will guide you to the topic of your choice.

The layout of the page contains a menu bar where you can find an “explore,” “locations” and many more tools that will help you find the information you are looking for in a very effective way. The colors on the blog help the reader scan through the articles more comfortably. The blog looks organized and easy to follow by new users. The images relate to the text, each post has a mini description that illustrates the subject of the Post. The blog also contains movies, databases, websites and postcards. Finally, at the bottom of the page you can leave your comments and ideas about the articles or other thought you might have.
