Review:

This quaint little bakery right near the heart of Rockefeller Center is famous for its delicious treats. The wonderful selection of cupcakes, cakes, and mini cakes always makes it difficult to decide. Magnolia also offers cafe like service for coffee, tea, cappuc- cinos, and hot chocolate among other things. The wide variety is laid out in a long wall of showcases so that everything is easy to choose from. The employees are very friendly and will even sing Happy Birthday to you, your friend, or your loved one if they’re aware of it.

Magnolia Bakery is not a sit down service cafe, so be ready to take your treat to go. Its location is not far from Central Park which is a wonderful spot to enjoy when the weather is fair. This bakery is almost always busy because it is so well known, but its definitely worth the wait!

Review:

Tony’s Di Napoli is an Italian restaurant of incredible quality. Their best appetizer is the fried calamari. It’s always cooked correctly, and their dipping sauce tastes magnificent. It’s so good, I fought the urge to eat the dipping sauce plain! Of all the main courses, the best ones are the baked ziti and chicken parmigiana. The ziti has a great, thick, inviting taste, and the parmigiana is incredibly rich.

This restaurant is very popular in the neighborhood; the seats fill up fast, so you’ll want to get a reservation first. Also, the dishes are platter-sized and serve for at least three people, so you’ll have to share. But the bustling environment, friendly wait- ers and waitresses, and great quality food are worth the expense.
