With my first design i wanted it to resemble a flatline into a heartbeat in a hospital, so the quote states 
“In life without ups and downs we are dead.” i decided to to go with a literal meaning by using the hospital themed visuals.
the second concept i was inspired by the “Above the influence ad” but put my own twist to it.
I basically just used an up and down arrow to symbolize the issues life puts you through. I then used the circle to represent the circle of life.
