Growing up, I was always drawn to creativity and working with my hands. From hours spent shaping clay and experimenting with ceramics to designing small projects just for fun, I found joy in transforming simple materials into something meaningful. Art wasn’t just a hobby for me—it was how I expressed patience, precision, and attention to detail. By the time I graduated high school, I knew I wanted a career that combined that same hands-on creativity with purpose and impact.

That clarity led me to dental hygiene. What first stood out to me was how much the profession relies on both technical skill and artistry—the ability to work meticulously in a small space while also shaping outcomes that directly affect a person’s confidence and well-being. As I learned more about oral health, I became especially interested in prevention and patient education, realizing how powerful it is to help people understand and take control of their own health.

Throughout my journey as a dental hygiene student, I’ve come to appreciate the balance between science and creativity that the field offers. Each patient interaction is different, requiring not only clinical knowledge but also empathy, communication, and adaptability. My background in design has shaped the way I approach care—with intention, precision, and an eye for detail—while my passion for helping others drives me to create comfortable, individualized experiences for every patient.

Today, my goal is to merge these strengths into a career where I can make a lasting impact. Just as I once found fulfillment in creating with my hands, I now find purpose in helping patients build confidence in their smiles and maintain their oral health for the long term.
