Introduction to the architecture of Internet of Things (IoT) and the basics of key technologies for developing an IoT system, including physical computing, communication, connectivity and IoT cloud. A variety of IoT implementations and applications are introduced. Students use some of the technologies with experimental hardware platforms to implement a prototype IoT system.

Orientation for Departments
The ability to obtain data remotely is convenient and cost effective. An unmanned quadrotor helicopter would be outfitted with monitoring devices. These devices would have the capabilities of locating and recording the status of an object (human or animal). This data would then be made available to a central command and control location, where analysis of the data would be done. City Tech Robotics Club is a student association operated by City Tech undergraduate students under the guidance of faculty advisors from City Tech Robotics Research Lab.
