Lucius A Wright JR
Personal Biography

Lucius A Wright JR is a recent retiree of the United States Navy. Lucius has been in numerous roles as manager and supervisor throughout his career. His dutys and position include Operation Enduring Freedom, Training support Batallion Williamsburg VA, Supply management and logistical support Sigonella Italy, Assistant Urinalysis Program coordinator Guantanamo Bay Cuba, and last but not least Oil Spill Response Souda Bay Greece. His supportive actions have benefited Joint forces and Reserve components in significant ways. The Military has been one of the most important part of his life and to which he owes much of his success.

Lucius Wright’s awards and decorations include Good Conduct Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism, And Navy Achievement medal and recently he was nominated for membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Lucius is a native of Georgetown Guyana. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 and grew up in the do or die section of Brooklyn NY. He wanted to do something that would make a difference in the lives of others. But most of all it had to be something that would also defy his creativity and allow it to be boundless In order that he would forever feel passionate and enthusiastic.

In 2013 Lucius was released from active duty and joined the New York College of Technology for the chance to learn new skills and to obtain a degree. He has always dreamed of being known for something important, passionate and enthusiastic. All along, fine arts were present in his life; he always sought refuge in drawing and painting. It has always been a source that gave him rest from his problems and a place of refuge in a insecure world. Constantly feel the need for more he dived right in to continuing his education. He chose graphic Design because it fit his curiosity of computers and its creative elements just make for a perfect match.

In the rare hours when he’s not Concentrating on his study’s, he enjoy live music, reading, visiting museums, and driving. He is particularly fond of small boats but since his discharge from the military that opportunity is hard to come by. Even though his favorite basketball team is the Miami Heat he is excited about moving back to Brooklyn and being close to Barclay Stadium.

Lucius is single no kids and a avid traveler and hopes to combine his passion for travel with his passion for the Arts after graduating in May 2015.
