    In a clinical setting where expedience, efficency accuracy and time are all important factor for diagnosing a pathogen; a multi test system solves all those problem. EnteroPluri -Test system is a single- piece unit that is able to take /run 10- 100 test simultaneously. The 12 compartment tube contains in each different medias, several of the compartment are covered with wax to create anaerobic condition. The objective is to generate identification of an organism rather than focus specifically on the individual reaction in each compartment. After inoculating each tube by drawing the wire while rotating it; after resealing by putting the caps on; later holes were punched through to create aerobic conditions, and incubated for 24hrs at 37 degrees Celius. Starting from the blue cap: first agar is 1. GLUCOSE positive sugar fermentation is yellow which is usually accompanied by gas indicated by bubbles and gaps in the agar. 2-3. ORNITHINE and LYSINE, [lysine is encoded by the codons AAA and AAG, is an α-amino acid that is used in the biosynthesis of proteins]. A purple color indicates a positive reaction [decarboxylation]. 4. Hydrogen sulfide [H2S]/INDOLE compartment will read two results. Black color is positive for H2S production, with the reagent added; positive for indole from tryptophan turns the reagent bright red.
    5-8. ADONITOL, LACTOSE, ARABINOSE and SORBITAL; yellow color is a positive indication fer fermentation of sugars. 9. VOGES-PROSKAUER confirms identification .[ not generating an ID code, results are not red]. 10. DULCITOL/PHENLALANINE compartments yellow indicates positive fermentation of dilcitol [sugar]. Black/smokey gray color is psitive for phenylalnamine [deamination]. 11. UREA compartment, pink indicate spositive for urease. 13. CITRATE; blue indicates utilization of citrate [sugar] as a carbon source. Additionally each compartment has a number assigned, and grouped 1-5. Each grouped only the positive numbers are tallied. then combined all the groups number are added to identify the organism [ using a KEY provided].
