Bio

My love for technology and video games led me to first obtain my B.Tech in Computer Systems Technology and a MFA in Game Design. I focus my research on integrating games of any kind into classrooms so students can create their own work and use it as a teaching tool to educate not only themselves, but their peers as well. Currently working with a small group of women to develop and launch a game that takes a jab at how women were portrayed in 1950’s America.

My Courses

CST1102ID Prog Narr, SP2018

CST1102ID Prog Narr, SP2018

Write and program a short interactive fiction game.

CST1101 Comp Prob Solving, FA2017

CST1101 Comp Prob Solving, FA2017

Through a video game development group project and a developer’s blog discussing the process of problem-solving used to create the game, this course will present students with an overall inner inspection of both the world of computing and game development. Student teams will use Python 2.7 (python.org), a free python compiler tool, to design a 5 minute, choice-based text adventure game which will later be presented to the class. The course aims to teach students to work productively within a team, provide the foundation for other courses within the Computer Systems Technology department, and enhance the critical thinking skills necessary in an increasingly complex and technological world.
