Max Rios Carballo’s Profile

Mechanical Design, Manufacture, Robotics, Mechatronics, 3D Printing
I am an ambitious and driven individual. I thrive in a goal-oriented environment where I can constantly challenge myself personally and professionally. I am always looking for an opportunity to do better and grow.
My Courses
MECH4700 Fluid Mechanics Nakamura spring 2020
Fluid Mechanics
MECH4800 Adv 3D Animation Spring2018
2 cl hrs, 2 lab hrs, 3 cr Extends techniques learned in earlier industrial design courses (IND 2313 and IND 2410) and builds upon theories introduced in earlier animation courses (such as IND 2420). Foundation for advanced animation construction, incorporation of and integration with external media, and techniques to automate and optimize development processes. Dynamic particles, flexible soft body creation, texturing, “hair” particles, fluid simulation, rigging, lighting, and plant simulation. Prerequisites: MECH 3510
MECH3550 Simulation and Visualization OER
An Advanced Course related to Simulating, Visualizing, and Modeling using multiple different software.
MECH4730 Finite Element Method
summer 2017
MAT2680 Differential Equations, FA2019
An introduction to solving ordinary differential equations. Applications to various problems are discussed.
My Projects
Realizing the value of the research experience at the undergraduate level, this project is committed to fostering research opportunities for City Tech students. Faculty and students can use this project as a place to share announcements about research opportunities, as well as a place to offer information about the experiences students and faculty have had in their research endeavors. A handbook on effective mentoring, developed by the Undergraduate Research Committee, is currently available for download.

Undergraduate Research Initiative (URI) for Integration of AI with Robotics and Automation
A $540,000 Grant from the Department of Defense (DoD) to establish an Undergraduate Research Initiative (URI), a research and education hub that will further enhance the college’s very successful robotics program, initiated with an NSF ATE grant in 2010. This will enable us to create new hands-on research activities and enhance experience-based learning approaches in our curriculum in order to address the DoD’s needs for graduates in STEM fields with multidisciplinary engineering knowledge armed with AI, robotics, and automation programming skills.
Resume Writing Workshop for Engineering jobs
This workshop is for engineering students who need to update their resumes and need to know how to find an engineering job after graduation.
Mechanical Engineering Peer Advisement
Welcome to the Peer advisement page for the Mechanical Engineering Department! Our main goal is to increase the retention of females within our department, but our services are available to all students! Kayla Natal is the Peer advisors for the Mech. Department and will be available to help with tutoring, school website navigation, campus resources and more! If you’re seeking help in any of those categories, take a look at the calendar for the MECH advisors’ office hours and drop in for a visit! Feel free to post any comments or questions related to the MECH advisement program to this page, we’d love to hear from you!
My Clubs
The Virtual Reality & Artificial Intelligence (VR & AI) Club at NYCCT seeks to explore the interdisciplinary practices and applications involving Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence, including Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Vision, Internet of Things, and Embedded systems, as well as the social, psychological and political implications of such.
Mechanical Club (ASME Student Chapter)
Mechanical Engineering Club serves as a junior chapter of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in City Tech. The club promotes hands-on learning through multidisciplinary design activities and exposing students to the latest emerging technology.
Platform for students from different engineering departments to work on hands-on mechatronics projects.
Center of Medical Devices and Additive Manufacturing
Promote research aand train in design and fabrication of medical and prosthetic devices as well as additive manufacturing (3D printing)
