Bio

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
My professional background is in finance, marketing, compliance and client service. I was a Premium Customer Service Representative for American Airlines at LaGuardia Airport from 1999 – 2007. During this time, I developed and maintained professional relationships with persons of social, government and the entertainment community.

In 2007, I began my financial career as an equity trader’s assistant. From 2008 – 2016, I was the Managing Director at an investment advisory firm in NYC. I have over 11 years of experience in the financial industry. As a general analyst, I conducted bottom-up fundamental equity research and was also responsible for the implementation of investment decisions and adherence to trading policies and procedures, including trade rotation and execution. In addition, I was in charge of the administration of all portfolio management and trade order management systems, including all related technical and operational aspects. I was also responsible for the firm’s performance reporting and verification of performance according to GIPS© standards.

In 2016, I became an independent consultant to small business owners and C-level executives in the financial services industry. I help them to grow their business, retain their current clients and attract new ones.

I am currently pursuing my degree and licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Even though my background is predominantly in financial services, becoming a hygienist has been a dream of mine for many years. However, it wasn’t until I started working with patients, that I realized just how passionate I am about this new career choice. Dental Hygiene has become such an essential part of who I am in just the short time that I have been a student. Every day I get to go home feeling like I had a positive impact on at least one person. It is a truly motivating and satisfying feeling to know that I have provided my patients with the education necessary for their oral health. One of the best parts about treating patients is the time that I get to spend with them. It is very exciting to meet so many people from such diverse backgrounds. It is both a privilege and an honor to have their complete trust in me as a dental student. Success to me is my patient’s smile and their satisfaction with the treatment that they received from me.
