Dr. Raaghav Pandya is a professor, scientist, and speaker with a background in STEM education, contemplative traditions, climate and sustainability studies, and educational research. At CUNY’s College of Technology, he is an Assistant Professor – he teaches pedagogical theory, youth development, multicultural/urban education, role of creativity in makerspaces, and interdisciplinary studies concentrated on inspiring NYC’s future teachers.  There, he is Director of the Innervate Makerspace, a one-of-a-kind teacher education lab that concentrates on creativity, making, wellbeing, and self-inquiry. Currently, he is also a faculty fellow at Columbia University Teachers College’s Gordon Institute, where he teaches and leads workshops on the intersections of transformative learning experiences, contemplative philosophy, and STEM. Finally, as the Resident Scholar at the STEAM Dream IdeaLab in New York, he is responsible for designing the makerspace of tomorrow.

Teacher Opportunity Corp (TOC) II
Teacher Opportunity Corps (TOC) II is a state-funded scholarship program to recruit, support, and retain diverse teacher candidates, with a focus on increasing the number of underrepresented students entering the teaching profession. Funded by the 2023–2028 My Brother’s Keeper Teacher Opportunity Corps II Grant from the New York State Education Department (NYSED), this program is dedicated to fostering equity and excellence in education.
