Pierre Mirand’s Profile
Most people call me Pierre, while my family and family friends calls me marc. I’m Haitian German and I’m able to speak 4 languages and understand 7. I came here 8-9 years ago, I went to Ps189 for 3 years then graduated and went to Midwood High School at Brooklyn College. When I came to City Tech I wanted to be in the Computer Science Major, but later on after a semester of experience and talking to a lot of people I learn that I didn’t want to be in the computer science field, and eventually I learned that communication design might be a great way to start.

American Government, Alexander Sections
This is the introductory course in American Government, with the main focus on the national level but some attention to state and local levels as well. This OpenLab site contains course materials as well as links to news sites and a discussion board to exchange ideas. Please keep disagreements friendly, and please keep in mind that our main purpose is more to analyze than to react and fume. When the course is over, as long as you still have an OpenLab account at City Tech, you are invited to continue posting on this discussion board. This course introduces students to core concepts in the media field including color theory, design and production terminology, reproduction processes, file formats and substrates. Lectures will provide students with a historical perspective of the media field as well as discussing current practices and future trends.
