Nick Patrissi has dedicated his 30-year professional career to supporting business expansion in the Graphic Communications space. By combining innovative strategies with fundamental marketing principles, Nick’s ideas build unique awareness and pull through demand for products and services. Nick is a passionate marketing professional with a demonstrated ability to identify new and emerging business opportunities and execute tactics that help sales departments close business. Nick has held senior marketing roles at leading technologies companies including 3M, Creo and Kodak. His recent experience also includes 6 years with Trend Offset Printing as Marketing Director and Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. In Tandem, Nick serves on numerous industry boards, teaches New York City College of Technology and founded Marketing Business Acceleration Inc. In 2009 to provide marketing support to regional printing firms. He currently works in partnership with Nima Hunter Inc. a leading strategic Planning and marketing research firm in New York.

Student is assigned to find fieldwork/study situations of approximately eight hours per week at an internship site approved by the Department Internship instructor. Approved Sites include advertising agencies, graphic design firms corporate design offices, publications art departments, photography or illustration studios, TV or multimedia production companies. Students will be required to keep a learning journal of their internship in the form of a blog using Openlab. A portion of the class will be devoted to presenting and sharing experiences with classmates. Students will learn how to assess their talents, update their resume, and promote themselves and their work through social networks during class meetings. Students will be required to setup and maintain at least two social media networks such as: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
