Bio

My name is Meily Gomez.

I’m a Dental Assistant with some experience in Dental Sleep Medicine, Myofunctional therapy and Medical billing.

Daily at work, I encounter with patients who present obstructive sleep apenea, craniofacial pain and temporomandibular joint disorder.

My goal as future Dental hygenist is to prevent and treat periodontal disease and be able to identify the cause of this, such as malocclusion, sleep disorders… I want to be able to see the patient as entire human being and understand how the comorbirity conditions (high blood presure, diabetes, sleep apnea,…) can affect preiodontum and oral cavity.
I form part of Academy of Applied Myofunctional Science, Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy , American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
