My name is Matilde Garcia. I currently working for a labor union. I have over 40 years of security experience in different levels of the law enforcement industry. I am a proud mother of 2 wonderful children.
During my life I have seen many changes from my generation to the new generation. As in all things there are some good and bad but Life is interesting in this manner.
With my children they have taught me and guided me thru these new changes and appreciate all people.
My person interest during my down time is making candles, taking care of my forest (as my children describe my multiple plants) and spend time with my family, and watching old movies over and over again.

LAW1101 Intro to Paralegal Studies, SP2022
An overview of the legal system and the role of the legal assistant within that system. Includes sources of the law; legal terminology; operation of the court system at state and federal levels; respective roles of attorney, client and paralegal; legal ethics and the Code of Professional Responsibility; interviewing techniques; and a survey of specialized areas of law. Prerequisite: CUNY proficiency in reading and writing. Corequisite: ENG 1101. Three class hours; three credits.
