Bio

Lauren has been and adjunct lecturer in the CUNY system since 2015. Starting first at QCC teaching Public Speaking and Acting classes she has branched out to include City Tech and Brooklyn College in her teaching efforts. Lauren was part of the inaugural K-16 Pedagogy Fellowship and Facilitation Fellowship. Lauren has earned both her Fostering a Culture of Belonging and Effective Teaching Practice Framework certificates from ACUE and is currently working on her Effective Online Teaching Practices certificate through ACUE. Outside of CUNY Lauren is the Associate Chair of Liberal Arts & Sciences at the New York Film Academy where her favorite classes to teach are Issues in Contemporary Moral Society where she unpacks the ethics of true crime storytelling and American Cultural History which focuses on Pop Culture in America. When not busy in academia Lauren is a performing artist, writer, and director. She’s worked extensively on stage and screen with such projects as FBI: Most Wanted, Bull, Ghost: Book of Power II, and the Upright Citizen’s Brigade to name a few.
