Nursing

Peaks and valleys are the roads it took to be where I am today. I grew up in poverty, never living at one place for more than three years. I was the first to graduate high school and received scholarships in middle school and high school for music (I used to play the saxophone). And although it took many years to finish college (I am a single mother with a child battling ulcerative colitis), I finally obtained my A.A.S. in Nursing, receiving my BS in Nursing within the year. I plan to progress to Master’s education, culminating as a Nurse Practitioner Midwife. I want to help the single mothers out there attain their dreams as I did.
