Bio

Hello, my name is Jeremy Eisner and I am a student of communication design(Comd) at City Tech!

My reasoning for majoring in Comd is quite unique to others in my opinion. Originally, I wanted to be a programmer and make games, software, etc. However, I took a class in high school which taught me the basics of coding and various intermediate level coding languages. My teacher made the class a pain to get through with all sorts of difficult assignments and random pop quizzes that I became discouraged from continuing that path. Not to worry because I still like coding from time to time but as an occupation, I don’t feel it is best for me.

Now you might be asking, if you like computers, why are you taking an art major instead?

I will tell you what I tell everyone else, I am not of fan of drawing or sketching or anything like that. Despite that, I do gain a lot of joy from designing since I chose my major and I do want to design a game from the front end rather than the back end. I have also considered learning 3D modeling as well in the future. Essentially, I never thought of myself as an “artist” before entering college but the ability to still create or design a game through different means. Also, I still get to work with computers all the same and that is what I am happy doing.Overall, I am a very happy to be in my major and I hope to gain enough experience to work as a game designer for a major company like Nintendo or Sony.
