My Courses
This is a continuation of the Biology I (BIO1101) course, focusing on the basic description of living organisms ranging from Prokaryotes to higher eukaryotes. Topics covered also include animal organization and description of their main organ systems, with a particular attention to how such systems work in humans. We will be utilizing OpenLab to complete several interactive assignments throughout the semester.
ENGLISH 2000: Globalization and Literature (Perspectives in Literature, spring 2013)
In this course, we will study literature across genres, eras, and locales. We will examine broad themes such as family and home, the individual and society, good and evil, and the conflicts surrounding globalization. Specifically, we will examine the fascinating and yet confusing concept of globalization, especially its relation to literature. The central question that we will ask in this class is: what does globalization feel like? The novels, short stories, non-fiction essays, plays, and poems that we will read will help us answer this question, for literature is very good at revealing and performing feelings.
