Interested in everything and anything involving my major.
Growing up always expecting the unexpected has taught me to be ready and stay ready for anything at all times. Life it’s definitely not an easy journey specially when things are not handed to you, working hard and giving your 110 percent in any situation will built character. Surrounding myself with those who inspire me to always keep going and keep my goals as my main priority its everything to me. I want to one day become that person that inspire others and be a role model for those who want to continue and accomplish each of their goals and dreams that would be a wonderful privilege.
My Courses
Learning Community: Together we will develop an understanding of what it means to be an innovator in the hospitality industry. Using reflection to better identify what is important to the individual and the community, students will incorporate the principles discovered into an exploration of career opportunities. Models of values and ethics will be considered, and hands on learning will be practiced in the learning environment.
An overview of the history, likely directions and organizational structure of the hospitality industry and its role in local, national and global economies. Students are introduced to the nature and scope of the hospitality industry, basic terminology, management concepts, career path explorations and the department’s mission and culture.
SUSTAINABILITY IN HOSPITALITY – This learning community will introduce the 21st Century relevance of sustainability in the hospitality industry and incorporating the concept connecting the various foundations taught in these two introductory management classes. Connections will be made as students investigate their career options and widen their scope of industry knowledge. Students will learn how to establish a professional electronic profile and simulate a career exploration search.
