Complete Dentures RESD 2311

Complete Dentures RESD 2311

A study of the principles and procedures of constructing a maxillary immediate denture and a surgical template. Also fabricating a Hader Bar and clips for an overdenture mandibular denture completed.

PHYS 2607 Introduction to Quantum Mechanics, Fall 2018

PHYS 2607 Introduction to Quantum Mechanics, Fall 2018

In this course students will learn the foundations and basic applications of quantum mechanics. We will discuss the origins of quantum theory, Planck’s law for black-body radiation, the photoelectric effect, and wave-particle duality. Students will learn the Heisenberg uncertainty principle and the probability interpretation of the quantum mechanical wave function. We will study the Schrodinger equation and apply it to simple systems such as the harmonic oscillator and the hydrogen atom. We will discuss the application of quantum mechanics to nuclear magnetic resonance and quantum computing. Students will learn the basic mathematics of linear operators, matrices, and vector spaces.

Physics 1.3

Physics 1.3

Physics, as one of the natural sciences, aims to discover the fundamental laws of the universe. Using theoretical and experimental methods, physicists study the basic structure of matter, space, and time. Knowledge of these laws allows us to understand the fascinating world of natural phenomena as well as to create new technologies that benefit every aspect of human life. The main branches of classical physics are mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism and optics. In PHYS 1.3/PHYS 1441 we will explore the first two branches. The topics we will discuss in this course include Newton’s laws of motion and universal gravitation, the motions of planets and satellites, the properties of liquids and gases, and the nature of heat. In this course we use tools of calculus such as derivatives and integrals.

The Open Road

The Open Road

The Open Road is our place to highlight all that’s possible on the OpenLab. Join now to keep up on OpenLab news, events, and updates. Check our weekly In the Spotlight posts for a glimpse into the incredible work being done by City Tech students, faculty, and staff. Follow OpenLab News for announcements and site updates. And see our OpenLab Calendar for office hours, events, and workshops. You can find our workshop schedule and signup for workshops here as well. The Open Road is also a place for the OpenLab community (meaning you!). We would love your feedback, insight, and comments. Please send along anything on the OpenLab that you love! We are always available for any questions you might have. Email us anytime at openlab@citytech.cuny.edu!

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association is the representative body for students. We are responsible for recommending student activity fee allocations, shaping policies affecting student life, coordinating extracurricular events and chartering new organizations. Feel free to contact SGA President, Lucas Almonte, with any questions, suggestions or concerns. He can be reached at SGAPresident@CityTech.Cuny.Edu If you wish to start a club on campus contact SGA Vice President, Sylwester Dombroski, at SGAVP@CityTech.Cuny.Edu
